Bear Hugs
is designed to "hug" the child that holds him. His arms will wrap around the child's
neck and his face will press against the child's cheek, bestowing a little kiss.
|
| |

He is in a playful pose, and can easily play pattycake or peek-a-boo. You
may also want to make Bear
Hugs' friend Dolly
Hugs, who especially likes to
hug little girls.
|
| |

Bear Hugs
was designed by Antonette Cely for the children of abused women who seek shelter
at Amity House, and for the abused, neglected, homeless and runaway children who
are sheltered at Harbour Home. Both of these houses are in Brunswick, Georgia,
which is on the mainland near Jekyll Island. You can download the pattern
for Bear Hugs
and copy it as much as you like, as long as you do not make the bears for sale.
|
| |

Bear Hugs
is designed to be used as a gift to children in need. That may be your own child,
or a friend's child. But
Bear Hugs
must never be used to make
bears for profit. The pattern
is copyrighted to prevent anyone from selling the pattern for profit.
|
| |

Bear Hugs
will remain on the web for anyone to make a bear from him. My sincere wish is
that those who do make him will give generously to the children around the world
who are tired, poor, scared, insecure, and desperately in need of someone to love
them.*
|
| |

I hope you will feel inspired to make this quick and easy bear and give her
to a child for Christmas, Hannukah, Kwanzaa or just because you care.

If you would like a copy of Bear Hugs, and you can't download the
pattern just send me a STAMPED, SELF-ADDRESSED
ENVELOPE, and I'll rush you a copy. Please let me know
how you plan to use the pattern, too.

Many devout Muslims consider dolls and teddy bears to be "graven
images". Therefore, they do not make appropriate gifts for children in Islamic
countries like Afganistan. Instead, please consider making a monetary gift to
America's Fund for Afgan Children c/o The White House 1600 Pennsylvania
Ave. Washington, DC .
