Dolly Hugs, made and dressed by Gerry Weiss

Here's the note sent from the dollmaker who made this lovely little doll...

Dear Antonette:

I was at my wits' end, trying to find a cloth doll pattern, when I found your Dolly Hugs online. None of the commercial patterns were exactly what I wanted, which was a lovable baby doll to make for the children still trapped in Ethiopia, to be distributed through the North American Conference on Ethiopian Jewry.æ Your doll was a little too big, so I downsized it to 12".æ The hair was made on a hairpin loom, set to the narrowest setting.æ Just wind yarn around and around, to a length of 7".æ Sew down the middle with matching thread.æ Remove from the loom and twist to make curls, then tack to head.æ Doll clothes patterns for 13-14" dolls will fit this doll.æ

Thanks again.
