Diversion (one) Music I am proud of the mandolin in this piece, as I made it from several kinds of wood, paper clay, brass and string. I used a tiny illustration in the dictionary as my model. If only I had made the instrument first, it would have been more accurate. But I made the doll first, and then had to create a LEFT-HANDED mandolin. What was I thinking??? Actually, originally I envisioned her at a harp. So that is why she is posed with her right hand up.
