*New! Pattern and
Instructions for Dressing Dolly Hugs! |
| |

Dolly Hugs
is designed to "hug" the child that holds her. Her arms will wrap around
the child's neck and her face will press against the child's cheek,
bestowing a little kiss.
She is in a playful pose, which converts easily to a praying posture,
or when laid on her side, in a peaceful sleeping pose. You may also
wish to make
Bear Hugs, Dolly's friend who especially likes to hug little
boys.

Dolly Hugs
is inspired by the often-used closing salutation by dollmakers who e-mail
each other. She was designed by Antonette Cely for abused, neglected,
homeless and runaway children. You can download the pattern
for Dolly Hugs
and copy it as much as you like, as long as you do not make the dolls
for sale.

My sincere wish is that those who do make Dolly
Hugs will give generously to the
children around the world who are tired, poor, scared, insecure, and
desperately in need of someone to love them.*
Keep in mind,
though... Dolly
Hugs must
never be used to make dolls for sale or profit,
and the pattern
is copyrighted to prevent this.

Some devout Muslims consider dolls and teddy bears to
be "graven images". Therefore, they may not make appropriate
gifts for children in Islamic countries like Afganistan and Iraq. Instead,
please consider making a monetary gift to America's Fund for Afgan
