Medieval King I made this doll to see if I could construct one without a full body underneath all those layers of clothes. His forearms and lower legs are fully formed, but under the rest of the robes is just an armature of coat hanger wire, covered in fabric. I had to flesh out the abdomen a bit in order to get the sash to hang in the right place, but other than that he has no real body. It just goes to show you what you can get away with and still get a realistic-looking doll. By the way, the sword is just a nice looking letter-opener. Look for them in antique stores.
