The World is Her Oyster I have never completely understood that expression. (After all, they're very hard to open without hurting yourself, they rarely have a pearl,and they sometimes make you sick...) But I wanted to make a real siren of a mermaid, so I upholstered a real seashell (complete with pearl) and let her lounge in it. I had fun with a metallic mesh which represents scales all over her body.
